Maintenance

At Earthmill we see the installation of your turbine as the beginning of the process not the end! A well sited and maintained turbine will produce an income via the Feed-in Tariff and increasing savings on electricity for at least 20 years. It is therefore vital that your turbine is maintained and serviced by a specialist accredited supplier.

An annual maintenance service of your turbine is essential to help keep it properly maintained and in excellent working order. Rest assured, that in the instance where you do experience problems we will work to get it fixed as soon as possible.

FiTs Registration

Once your turbine is commissioned, it is vital that you get registered as soon as possible as it is only then that you start to receive the Feed-in Tariff. This should not be a complex process, but dealing with the energy suppliers is never easy. Therefore we take that headache away and do the registration on your behalf, ensuring you are earning money as soon as possible.

3 Month Service

Three months after commissioning we will return to check that everything is working correctly and deal with any issues that may have arisen since installation.

Warranty

All manufacturers provide a warranty, but the level of these does vary from company to company. It is important that you check the terms of your warranty before installation. A typical warranty will cover parts and labour for a five year period, provided the turbine is maintained and serviced by an accredited supplier.

Maintenance

At Earthmill we offer a maintenance package that includes your annual service and any additional visits required under the warranty. We also provide a help line available for you to call during office hours and an email service for out of hours problems.

Performance Analysis

With larger turbines we install an internet connection which allows us to monitor the performance of the turbine remotely and in many cases fix problems and provide software upgrades without even having to visit site. With smaller turbines we install an anemometer that allows us constantly monitor the performance of your turbine and helps us ensure the turbine is running as it should.

Contract Review

In order to constantly improve the service we provide, we review each installation with the client two to three months after installation. This enables us to get feedback from our clients about the level of service we are providing and quickly identify if there are any areas in which we can improve. Only by constantly reviewing and improving what we do, can we continue to provide a high level of service we aim to achieve.
