Earthmill to represent the UK in Europe’s most competitive business awards competition

7th August, 2013

We are delighted to announce that Earthmill has been selected as a National Champion to represent the UK in the European Business Awards.  As one of a small number of National Champions from the UK, Earthmill will proceed to the next round of the awards in the new year and compete for Ruban d’Honneur status.  The final category winners will be revealed in April 2014.

The European Business Awards has identified some of Europe’s brightest businesses based on their ability to demonstrate the three core principles at the heart of the Awards programme: innovation, business excellence and sustainability.

“Earthmill has grown very rapidly since it was founded in 2009.  I think a lot of our success comes from our solid foundations and clear vision of what we wanted to achieve and where we wanted to be,” comments Founder and Managing Director Steve Milner. “Just four years on we’re the largest supplier of Endurance wind turbines in the world and the leading installer of 50-225KW wind turbines in the UK. The company is supported by a superb staff team, another critical component to the success of any business.”

The European Business Awards is dedicated to raising the visibility and progress of companies who excel in delivering innovation twinned with successful commercial results whilst acting responsibly and positively affecting the social environment they operate in. Last year’s competition saw entries from organisations with a combined turnover greater of over €1 trillion Euros across the 28 EU countries plus emerging nations.  Together these businesses employ over 2.7 million people across the continent.

“We are dedicated to providing an outstanding level of customer service and are constantly seeking to improve our service delivery,” says Mark Woodward, Earthmill’s Director of Sales. “The sale and installation of a wind turbine is only the beginning of a renewable energy project for us – we provide care and maintenance for the turbine throughout the whole of its operational lifetime. We have now developed over 120 turbines that cumulatively create enough energy to power around 5,300 homes every year.”

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “Over the past seven years we’ve received an incredibly high standard of entries from organisations that are passionate about their business. However, very few get the chance to fly the flag for their country and compete across Europe to be recognised as one of Europe’s finest. It really is an exceptional accolade to be picked as a National Champion.”
